A peer-reviewed journal publishing theoretical and empirical research, and reviews, that bridge the pillars of modern economics and regional economics — to answer the policy questions neither discipline can answer alone.
Economic and Regional Policy Interactions publishes high-quality theoretical and empirical research, and review articles, that build bridges between the pillars of modern economics and regional economics.
We are interested in work that uses the principles of both disciplines to answer policy-relevant questions — where macroeconomic theory, spatial and regional analysis, and applied policy meet.
Scope is illustrative and will be finalised with the editorial board.
The journal's editorial direction is independent of, and accountable to, the Society for Economic and Regional Policy Interactions.
Every policy below is public because trust is built in the open. Our standards follow the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Each submission is screened editorially, then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. Author and reviewer identities are mutually concealed, and the full workflow is published.
A public Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement covers authorship, competing interests, corrections, retractions, and complaints.
All manuscripts are checked with recognised similarity-detection software before review, against a stated threshold policy.
Authors must disclose any use of generative AI. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Our policy describes acceptable use in writing and review.
Every article receives a permanent DOI and complete metadata, with English abstracts and JEL classification codes, so research is discoverable wherever economists work.

Targets we are working toward
Items marked as targets are goals we are building toward through a sustained, peer-reviewed publication record — they are not current affiliations, and will be listed here only once achieved.
We welcome original research, empirical studies, and review articles within scope. Submissions are managed through our online editorial system.
Follow the author guidelines; include an English abstract, keywords, and JEL codes.

Editorial screening, then double-anonymized review by at least two experts.
Accepted articles are typeset, assigned a DOI, and published open access.
